About

Nice to meet you.

I live in Seattle, WA, with my husband, daughter, poodle puppy, and fish. I'm a pretty equal split between right & left brain, and do my best work when using both my creative/emotional mind and my strategic/problem solving mind. In my free time I do things like play violin, mountain bike, obsess over my freshwater aquascape aquariums, hike, ski, read, and eat delicious meals with friends and family. I love learning about all things new in technology, experimenting, making things, and collaborating.

After studying Urban Studies (with an almost double major in Music) from Barnard College, I began my career in video game audio. It was a natural evolution from my love of playing violin and an incredible foundation for creative and technical expression. I then transitioned into Principal Design Director and Principal Product Manager at Microsoft, where I learned to design & steer products and people in the right direction, get things done across complex organizations, and build things customers need and love.

After nearly a decade at Microsoft, I started Bly-Baret to go after problems that are unglamorous, hard, and meaningful. Villara Health, our first product, is built for people managing chronic illness. The older I get, the more I care about making sure what I'm doing in life gives more on balance to the world and to people than I take in return, and my favorite way to do that is by making cool stuff with kind and brilliant people.
